EMDR

Maybe you…

  • have a good sense of what you’re struggling with or what past experiences have contributed to those struggles, but even after years of previous therapy are still having a hard time day-to-day?

  • have a hard time doing the things you know might help?

  • know your current ways of coping have only gotten you so far?

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is different from traditional talk therapy. It is a somatic based therapy that focuses on processing difficult or traumatic memories and shifting disruptive self beliefs. By allowing your mind and body to access their natural healing abilities, EMDR helps take the power out of past memories so that they no longer have the same impact on your life now and into the future. While EMDR doesn’t make us forget difficult experiences, it can substantially shift how you relate to those memories and yourself. For many, it is a powerful therapeutic approach that can make a world of difference toward healing and growth.
